About Us

Celebrating its 93rd year, the Lambton County Music Festival has the distinction of being the longest independently run competitive music festival in Canada.

Located in beautiful Sarnia, Ontario, the annual festival is held the last week of April, and the first week of May. Run solely by volunteers, the festival is dedicated to developing musical talent. The festival provides an opportunity for participants to gain valuable experience and receive a professional critique from highly qualified and respected adjudicators in the piano, vocal, choral, strings, band and instrumental fields.

For some participants, their level of excellence will qualify them for trophies, cash awards and scholarships funded by our very generous patrons and sponsors. The festival is a member of the Ontario Music Festival Association, and each year a number of competitors are recommended to represent our festival at the provincial competition. The goal of the festival is to foster excellence in the performance of music and to provide participants with awards and scholarships to encourage them to continue their musical studies.
